Meet Dr. Elizabeth Sherman Kleefisch

Dr. Elizabeth is a caring and skilled pediatric dentist who brings her patients exceptional expertise and heartfelt dedication. Dr. Kleefisch grew up in Baton Rouge and attended St. Joseph’s Academy before earning her degree in biology and a minor in business administration from LSU. She then pursued her dental degree at LSU School of Dentistry in New Orleans, where she was honored as a C. Edmund Kells Honor Society member. In dental school, she was recognized with the Community Outreach Award in Pediatric Dentistry and served as Secretary of the American Student Dental Association.

Dr. Kleefisch continued her education with a residency in pediatric dentistry at Virginia Commonwealth University, training at the Children’s Hospital of Richmond. During this time, she also earned a Master of Science in Dentistry and was named chief resident, receiving the prestigious Alexander Fellowship for research.

Beyond her professional accolades, Dr. Kleefisch is deeply committed to family. She is married to Ray, a dentist in the U.S. Navy, and together they have a daughter, Eliza Jane, and a golden retriever named Goose. She resides in Virginia with her family, as her husband is stationed there until December 2025. She loves spending time outdoors, traveling, and cheering on her beloved LSU Tigers in her free time. Dr. Kleefisch is excited to bring her expertise and warmth to pediatric patients in the Zachary area.

  • Dr. Kleefisch is an active ADA, LDA, VDA, and AAPD member.

  • Co-Founder/ President of 4theKids Charity, a 501(c) (3) charity benefiting Our Lady of the Lake Children's Hospital. 4theKids is a teen non-profit corporation to support and enhance the construction of a free- standing hospital in Baton Rouge and promote teen leadership through numerous fundraising events. 4theKids expanded to include a Junior Board of Directors of 5 area high schools, a Board of LSU students and young alumni, and an Executive Board which coordinates the fundraising events. 4theKids researched and donated to Our Lady of the Lake a telepresence robot "WeeGeaux by VGo," the first in Louisiana healthcare. 4theKids has raised over $150,000.00 in support of Our Lady of the Lake Children's Hospital.
